The Position
B2B Sales and Marketing Leader
General Task
The primary role is leading the marketing and sales of ingredients to small and medium sized businesses making Natural and Organic Skincare, Cosmetics and Soaps.
The primary geographic focus will be North America and Europe.
A secondary focus will be the development of Ghanaian markets for high-end, consumer packaged shea butter and to the corporate gift market.
Specific duties & responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
• Lead the implementation of the company’s marketing & sales strategy leveraging your unique skills, experience, and expertise at identifying and acquiring new customers.
• Identify new markets & business opportunities, developing strategies to capitalize on them.
• Lead on identification, targeting, and engagement of new customers (particularly bulk buyers in North America and Europe) through effective research, lead generation, prospecting, and conversion into committed clients.
Develop and implement a marketing and sales strategy for the Ghanaian market, focusing on high-end retail and corporate gift market.
• Design & deliver sales presentations to new prospects; and in close collaboration with the CEO negotiate terms to secure new business.
• Prepare regular sales reports for submission to the CEO and engage in proactive measures that maintain positive performance while mitigating negative ones.
• Attend relevant industry & networking events in the name of the company to project our products & impact.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to enhance customer satisfaction & loyalty.
Academic qualification
● Minimum – An HND or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited institution.
Experience
● Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role executing some (if not all) of the responsibilities required for this position.
● Successful sales experience involving non-price related features and benefits.
● Having an appreciable knowledge & understanding of the natural skincare industry or previously working in it, will be an added advantage.
• Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.

● Humility and eagerness to learn: This role requires an innate humility to learn on the job and also the ability to take the necessary initiative to acquire up-to-date skills and knowledge for the role.
● Commitment, energy, and ability to work under pressure: The workload is bound to be intense at certain times. A successful candidate is one who isn’t afraid of working hard and would not give excuses for not delivering on key performance indicators established before the beginning of the role.
● Curiosity, autonomy, and critical thinking: You will not have all the answers, but this role requires that you ask yourself questions, look for answers, and have a critical thinking approach along the way. A successful candidate should add value to discussions and share their point of view on operations and strategy without fear or constraint.
● Time management and personal discipline: Executing successful work requires that the individual is self-disciplined and respectful of time. Any successful candidate will be expected to possess such attributes.
● Team spirit and People Skills: A successful candidate should understand that it is impossible to succeed alone and be willing to put in the necessary efforts for collective success working closely with other departments & individuals.
● Communication: Must have excellent written, verbal & presentation skills.
● Research ability: Must have the competence of independently & effectively researching to derive & present meaningful insights for the company’s benefit.
● Proficient in digital software (marketing ones is a plus), tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & virtual meeting platforms.
● Have strong analytical & problem-solving skills while paying attention to detail and delivering quality work output.
● Competence in various lead generation techniques such as cold calling/emailing; networking & digital marketing.
● Ability to plan, strategize, develop accountability systems, and lead by example.
● Possession of basic copywriting & negotiation skills is a plus.
Key expectations
● Regular meetings & monthly reporting to the company’s CEO
● The initial contract will be for 5 months (subject to review at the end), and the successful candidate will also undergo a performance review 2 months into the role.
● The position will evolve into a hybrid (office and remote) but will begin as primarily an office position.

Working days: As needed but primarily Monday to Friday
Working hours: 40 hours per week
Remuneration
To be determined. Remuneration will begin with salary plus commission during the first five months but will evolve into commission only.
Starting date and location
The start date is scheduled for 12th August 2024.
The location of the administrative office in Accra is La.
